SPENCER: Mary E. (Cummings) Speicher, 69, of Main Street died Friday, June 10 surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband of 28 years, Malcolm M. Speicher: a daughter; Michelle E. Power and her wife Kathy Chapman of Worcester, four sons; Richard P. Power and his wife Kerri of Worcester, David P. Power and his wife Jennifer of Holland, Donald A. Prescott and his partner Sharyn Miller of Worcester and William F. Prescott of Spencer, a step-son; Theodore R. Speicher of Belleville, PA, a brother; Frank Cummings and his wife Pamela of Worcester, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary was born in Worcester, daughter of Oliver and Rita (Scales) Cummings. It was Mary's love of adventure that allowed her to be fearless in her pursuit of numerous endeavors in her career choices. In her lifetime she owned a Pinstripping business, Campground, Managed the Traz Band. She worked for UMass Memorial Hospital, Tatnuck Garden Center and finished her career at Shaws. She cherished all the friendships she made. Mary was an avid reader, loved to dance, hike, camp and go to the beach. Her most cherished moments and joys were the times spent with her family.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 14 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of The Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Monday, June 13th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home.
