Obituary

WORCESTER: Cheryl A. (Howard) Donahue, 57, formerly of Pleasant Valley Dr., and previously of Westborough, died peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, after a long illness.

She leaves a son, Richard A. Donahue, Jr. of West Boylston; a daughter, Jennifer Lee Marderosian and her husband Michael of Webster; seven sisters, Linda Nelson of Worcester, Judy McAndless of Venice, FL, Colleen Dean of Port Charlotte, FL, Patricia Jacques of Worcester, Lisa Hall of Franklin, Carmen Duval of Barre, Susan Hamilton of Brockton; three grandchildren, Avery, Morgan and Jayden Marderosian; and many nieces and nephews. Her grandmother, Helen Stokes and two brothers, Gary and Jackie Howard, all predeceased her. She was born in Marlboro, daughter of the late John Howard and Rita (Steele) Hamilton and attended Assabet Valley Technical High School and Westborough High School. She lived in Westborough before moving to Worcester in 1990.

Cheryl was a general laborer at Bay State Abrasives for 10 years until leaving work in 1992 due to a disability. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church. She loved crafts, tanning, cooking, camping and being with her children and grandchildren.

There are no calling hours. Cremation will be at Rural Crematory. The family suggests that donations in memory of Cheryl be made to The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation, PO Box 2157, Framingham, MA 01703 or the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062. Kelly Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
