Obituary

PAXTON-Paul Randall Mitchell, 86, passed away on Saturday, May 14th at St. Vincent Hospital. Paul leaves his wife of 61 years, Bette (Flagg) Mitchell; three children, Paul B. Mitchell and wife Carol Eliadi of Shrewsbury, Wendy Mitchell of Paxton and Jennifer Vasquez and husband David of Medford; two grandchildren, Cara Bernard and husband Adam of Dudley and Brianne Niemi and husband Daniel of Westminster; a great grandson, Nathan Paul Bernard; his sister, Ann Waters of Brewster and many nieces and nephews. His brother, Charles Mitchell predeceased him.

Paul was born in Sterling the son of Willie, Jr. and Evelyn (Burpee) Mitchell and graduated from Sterling High School. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked in road construction for many years and enjoyed mechanical repair. He was an avid crossword puzzler. Paul summered on Cape Cod during his childhood and lived there for many years prior to moving back to the Central Mass area including.

A Graveside Service for Paul will be held on Tuesday, May 17th at 11:30 am in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 01701. Arrangements are in the care of FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston.
