PRINCETON

Evelyn G. (Gablaski) LaBree, 83, of Princeton, wife of Everett J. LaBree for 64 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 8th, at UMass.

She leaves five children, Susan M. LaBree and her boyfriend, Francis D. Sposato of Worcester, John E. LaBree and his wife, Carmen (Martin) of Leominster, Sandra E. LaBree of Worcester, Bruce J. LaBree and his wife, Cindy (Harris) of Benzonia, MI, and Cheryl A. (LaBree) Briand and her husband, Glenn of Worcester, 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was born in Cherry Valley on May 27, 1932, daughter of Charles W. and Josephine F. (Mason) Gablaski. Her sister Helen Siplas, brothers Edward and William Gablaski predeceased her.

Evelyn was a graduate of Leicester High School. She worked as an accountant for many years at several companies. She retired from RCA Corporation in 1991.

Evelyn was a beautiful, loving, giving and passionate woman. Evelyn (Maggie) and Everett (Joe) enjoyed many years raising their family, enjoying summers at Lake Ossipee, NH, taking cross country trips, rides to nowhere and spending their winters in Florida with many friends.

Evelyn loved all water sports, playing cards, bingo and engaging in lively conversation with all of her family and friends at cookouts.

Evelyn will be whole-heartedly missed by all her loving family and many dear friends.

There will be a private graveside service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Barre. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements in the care of Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center, 72 Cambridge St., Worcester, MA 01603.
