Obituary

WORCESTER-Stephanie (Angelos) Bamikas, 93, of Worcester passed away Wednesday, March 23 at Holy Trinity Nursing Center.

She leaves her husband of 69 years, George Bamikas; a son, Marcus Bamikas of Worcester; a grand-daughter, Jana and her husband, Peter Anastasopoulos of Braintree; a brother, James Angelos; two sisters, Stella Michael and Elizabeth Sardelis all of Fitchburg and many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Maria Colletta, another brother, James Angelos and two sisters, Anastasia Panageotis and Bessie Psiroganis predeceased her. She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Thomas and Argero (Sigouros) Angelos.
Stephanie worked as a dry cleaner presser, retiring several years ago. She was a longtime member of Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. In her youth, Stephanie was known as the life of the party, always with a smile for those she met. She loved shopping, Frank Sinatra and watching old movies with her husband. She was meticulous about her appearance, loved cooking for family and friends at a moments notice, and always had a mischievous glint in her eye. She will be dearly missed by all.

The funeral will be held Friday, March 25 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Funeral Service at 11:30AM in Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. A Visiting Hour will be held Friday from 10 to 11AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester,01609.
