CARLISLE - John Curtiss Carlisle, 24, of Yulee passed away Sunday morning, March 6, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in a vehicular accident.
Curtiss was born August 2, 1991 in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Yulee in 2003 from the Oceanway area of Jacksonville. He had a big heart and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed having a good time and lit up his parent's world. They could not help but smile when walked into the room.
Curtiss is predeceased by his step grandfather, Lamar Long, who passed away last year.
He is survived by his parents, John and Jennifer Carlisle of Yulee, FL; his two children, Aubree Marie Carlisle and Jaxon Tyler Carlisle both of Fernandina Beach, FL; his sister, Kerri Carlisle, of Yulee; his paternal grandparents, Shelton and Kathy Carlisle of Jacksonville, FL; maternal grandparents, Ronnie and Debbie Goodin, also of Jacksonville, and Marie Long of Yulee; several loving aunts and uncles including Kelsey Long who was like a sister to him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Yulee Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Sides officiating. Interment will follow in the family burial estate in Green Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Green Pine Funeral Home.
