Obituary

Worcester- Sally A. (Lindberg) Hartnett, 88, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.

She was born in Worcester on October 5, 1927 to the late Albert T. and Edith (Berglund) Lindberg. She attended local schools and graduated from Classical High School. Sally then went to Lasell College where she earned her Medical Secretary degree. For many years she worked as an assistant at the office of Dr. Robert Bazemore.

Following her career as a medical secretary, Sally spent several years as a hospital volunteer. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and loved spending time with her family. Sally was also a lover of animals, as was evident by the many cats and dogs she had throughout her life. Her passion for gardening, and love of the outdoors, was second to none. She enjoyed taking long walks and working in her garden, even on the coldest of days. Sally loved to cook, and could spend hours exploring her many recipes and cookbooks. Her family and friends were the lucky recipients! Sally spent most of her retirement years on Cape Cod (Centerville), where she loved the ocean and the many beautiful beaches.
Her laughter and infectious smile remained with her, even throughout her last days.

She is survived by her children, Lynne H. Walker and her husband Richard of Worcester; Jill C. Dupuis and her husband Marc of East Sandwich; Craig Hartnett and his wife Sue of Holden; five grandchildren, Kate Holman and her husband Mark; Justin Walker and his wife Katie; Sara Fitzpatrick and her husband Dan; Amanda Czarnecki and her husband Matt; Anna Dupuis and her fiancé Sean O’Brien; three great grandchildren, Jack Holman, Liam Fitzpatrick, Luke Czarnecki, and Baby Fitzpatrick due in June; several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis E. Hartnett who died in 1991 and her sister Jean Harrison.
