Harriet J. (Reynolds) Broughton, 96, a resident of Haverhill, MA, formerly of Lawrence and Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Baker Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill.
Born in Lawrence, Harriet was a graduate of both St. Patrick's Grammar and High Schools where she was Class Valedictorian. She then went on to graduate from St. John's School of Nursing in Lowell. Harriet had worked as a Registered Nurse at Tewksbury State Hospital for many years. She enjoyed traveling when her husband was alive and kept herself busy with activities such as sewing and reading.
The daughter of the late Patrick and Annie (Franney) Reynolds and the the wife of the late George H. Broughton, family members include her daughter Marianne Broughton of Hobe Sound FL, her son Michael Broughton of Plaistow, NH as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 118 South Broadway, Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, also in Lawrence, MA.
