WORCESTER-David E. Prue, Sr., 60, a lifelong resident of Worcester, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at Saint Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his wife of over 38 years Denise A. (Gubber) Prue; three children, David E. Prue, Jr. of Worcester, Mary Hastings and her husband Chris of Auburn and Timothy Prue and his wife Katie of Worcester; three beautiful grandchildren, Bryden Hastings, Mikayla Prue and Megan Prue. He also leaves three sisters, Theresa C. DellAquila and her husband Michael of Auburn, Denise M. McTigue and her husband Frank of Worcester and Janet Troio and her husband Kevin of North Carolina; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother Norman Prue and two sisters, Jean E. Carrigan and Gail A. Prue.
He was born in Worcester, son of Homer and Irene (Arsenault) Prue and graduated from St. Peter’s High School and earned his Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop # 37. David worked as a Credit Manager for AMI Leasing for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and a former member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council #88.
The funeral will be held Friday, February 26 from CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours will also be held on Friday from 9:00 until 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
