Deborah Lou (Dawson) Holup, 68, of Auburn died Sunday, December 6th in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. Her husband, John J. Holup died in 2007. She leaves three sons, Paul Beland, James Beland and Danny Beland all of Worcester; a daughter, Tammie Meersman of Oxford; two step-sons, Matthew Holup of Auburn and Mark Holup of Worcester; two step-daughters, Jan Stephanos of Cherry Valley and Wendy Holup of Spencer; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a step-son, John Holup.
She was born in Brockton the daughter of James and Lorraine Dawson. Deborah enjoyed participating in the activities held at Oakdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, especially painting. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is directing arrangements.
