Obituary

Worcester - Stanley E. Dykstar, 92, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Christopher House surrounded by his loving family. His wife of 56 years, Ethel V. (Goranson) Dykstar, predeceased him in 2000. He leaves a son Morgan E. Dykstar of Braintree and a daughter Bonnie Rogers and her husband Jay of North Brookfield; 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, the only child of Anna (Herwasiok) and Michael Dykstar. Stan owned and operated the Ace Typewriter Company in Worcester. He was a member of All Saints Church, the Elks, and Past Master and member of Morning Star Lodge A.F. & A.M. 23rd Masonic District. Stan loved singing, poetry, and music. He was an avid fisherman and loved swimming and sailing. He was an environmentalist and true nature-lover.

A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints Church, 10 Irving Street, Worcester on Friday, October 30, at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Rural Cemetery will be at a later date. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the JHC Hospice, 629 Salisbury St., Worcester MA 01609 or to the Children's Dyslexia Center of Central MA, 1 Ionic Avenue Worcester MA 01608. Many heartfelt thanks to his Christopher House family for their loving kindness.
