Robert J. Poissant, 54, died while boating in Naples, Florida on September 5, 2015 in the Gulf of Mexico.
Bob was an avid boats man and the sea was his second home. Professionally Bob was a detailer and was highly sought after in his trade.
Before moving to Florida, Bob lived in Oxford for many years, and attended the Oxford Schools.
Bob is predeceased by his father Roland who died in 2013.
He leaves his mother Nancy, his sister Linda Minka, both of Cape Coral, FL and his 2 brothers Russell of Milford and Richard and his fiancé Floria Pacek of Rutland.
Bob leaves his four children, Corinna Poissant, Jessica Chartier and her husband Edward, and Robert and Joseph Poissant all of Connecticut. He also leaves 3 grandchildren, Dominic Poissant, Brandon and Tucker Chartier all of CT, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Family will have a ‘Celebration of Bob’s Life’ Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11 AM in Grace Church, 270 Main St., Oxford.
The ROBERT J. MILLER-OXFORD FUNERAL HOME, 247 Main St. is assisting Bob’s family with local arrangements.
