Joseph Kennon “Bull” Owen, 47, of Ocilla passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Ronnie Lawson and Rev. Ron Lawson officiating. Mr. Owen will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends Friday, October 2, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Bull was born October 1, 1968 in Atlanta, the son of Guilford Joe Owen and Shirley Jean Bryant Owen, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Judson Lamar Owen. He was a truck driver for UPS and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Oxford.
Bull is survived by his wife, Beth Drawdy Owen of Ocilla; one son and daughter-in-law, Aleck and Hannah Rankin of Ocilla; three daughters and a son-in-law, Krysti Fletcher Mullis and husband, Cameron and Cassandra Brooke Owen, all of Tifton and Tammy Lynn Owen of Ocilla; one brother, Steven Lee Owen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one sister, L. J. Owen of Marietta; four granddaughters; and one grandson that is due February 2016.
