Jacqueline M. “Jackie” (Nesti) Sitte age 75 of Stoughton died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of failing health. She was the devoted wife of Lyle W. Sitte. Jackie was born in Quincy, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Mae “Jackie” (McNally) Nesti. Since 1986 Jackie had lived in Stoughton and formerly Brockton.
A 1958 graduate of Brockton High School and 1961 graduate of Brockton Hospital School of Nursing, Jackie also attended Bridgewater State College and was a certified Gestalt therapist. She was a registered nurse at the Brockton Detox Center and Southwood Hospital. She had been a self-employed addiction therapist in Stoughton.
She will be remembered as a very energetic and caring person who was smart, compassionate, thoughtful and dedicated. She enjoyed watching her clients’ successes.
Jackie was devoted to her home and family and was the number one fan of all her grandsons’ and granddaughters’ accomplishments.
In addition to her husband, Jackie leaves her three sons, Rickard Sitte of Norton, David Sitte and his fiancée Kristina Barnes of Bradenton, FL and Daniel Sitte and his wife Eileen of Foxboro; 6 grandchildren, Joel, Abigail, Zachary, Joshua and Graysen Sitte and Amanda Champney.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Rte 123) Brockton on Friday, 5-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Saturday at 9am for a Funeral Mass in St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. In lieu of flowers donations in Jackie’s name may be made to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Edgewater Dr, Suite 103, Norwood, MA 02062.
