VINCENT R. PATRONE,55, of North Situate, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday night, September 10, 2015. He was the husband of Janet (Walsh) Patrone, and father of Rafe Vincent Patrone.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Mary Notarianni Patrone and the late Ralph Patrone. He is also survived by his sister, Gail Dooley, and her husband, Paul Dooley, of Johnston, and his nephew, Jon Dooley, as well as his in-laws, Deacon James Walsh and Diana Walsh, of Cumberland.
Vin was a graduate of La Salle Academy, Boston College, and Boston College School of Law. He was an attorney at the former Winograd, Shine & Zacks for many years, and eventually opened his own business law practice in Providence. His legal career was cut short by the development of a brain tumor, but this did not deter him from pursuing other work endeavors as well as marrying his wife and fathering his beloved son in the ensuing 18 years. He worked for many years for United Cerebral Palsy, served on the Board of the National Brain Tumor Society.
Vin loved good food and large gatherings of family and friends. He made friends wherever he went, and his friendships were life-long. He was an avid skier, sharing many great trips with friends all over the world, and he later acquired great joy teaching his son to ski. He will be greatly missed by his many friends from childhood, high school, college, law school, his legal career, and his nonprofit work. Vin was also a communicant, volunteer and Chair of the Annual Bazaar and Raffle of St. Joseph’s Church in North Scituate.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, September 14, at 10 am. at St. Joseph’s Church in North Scituate. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Cranston. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00, in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
