MYSTIC: Joseph Pasieka, 83, of Mystic died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home with his wife and beloved dogs by his side. Joe married Carol Brown, the love of his life, on June 26, 1992 in the Bahamas. They enjoyed 23 happy years together.
He was born in Middletown CT on May 21, 1932, the son of Joseph A. and Frances (Lima) Pasieka. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years in the Sales Department of M.J. Sullivan, retiring in 1997.
Joe was an outstanding saxophone player. He played sax and clarinet with many of the top polka bands on the East Coast such as Gene Wisniewski, Walt Solek, Ray Henry, Frank Wojnarowski and Dick Pillar throughout the fifties and sixties. In 1970, Joe started his own band, the Joe Pasieka Orchestra. He performed from Maine to Maryland with his band until his health forced him to retire. Joe had a unique sound on the tenor saxophone and he filled the room with his sound.

Joseph was very well known and respected in the auto sales industry where he worked for many years.
