Mary L. (Andrade) Bargasse, 78, of New Bedford died April 25, 2005 at home after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Earle B. Bargasse.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Ana (Oliveira) Andrade, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Bargasse was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
She was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse at St. Luke's Hospital for 29 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Bargasse was a member of of the Cape Verdean American Retirees, St. Martin dePorres Guild, St. Luke's Retirees Club and a former member of the Cape Verdean Ultra Marine Band Club.
She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Survivors include her husband; 2 sons, James A. Bargasse, and his companion Karen Santos, of New Bedford and Martin A. Conceicao, and his wife Ilda, of Freetown; 3 sisters, Alice Conceicao and Anita L. Turner, both of New Bedford and Ann M. Pinto of Fairhaven; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She was the sister of the late Allen G. Andrade, Joseph R. Andrade, Jr. and Armando O. Andrade.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Thursday, April 28th at 7:45 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday, April 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
