Germaine (Desrosiers) Corriveau, 79, of Westport died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was wife of the late Florian M. Corriveau.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Philippe and Yvonne (Dumont) Desrosiers, she had lived in Westport since 1973. She was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. Mrs. Corriveau was a member of S.M.A.R.T. (Special Military Active & Retired Travel Club and she enjoyed crafts, traveling and camping.
Survivors include 2 sons: Fr. Michael G. Corriveau of Australia and Ronald P. Corriveau of AK; 2 daughters: Louise Y. Levesque of Westport and Denise R. Wickam of TX; a brother: Ulric Desrosiers of Fall River; 3 sisters: Emilienne Bouchard of Mansfield, Gertrude Matte of Somerset and Lorraine Theroux of Fall River; 4 grandchildren: Rachel Matton, Megan Levesque, Nicole Botino and Kayla Irizarry; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Normand Desrosiers and Lionel Desrosiers.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, January 9, 2014 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 4 – 7 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
