Obituary

THOMPSON, CT – John Jezerski, 81, of the North Grosvenordale section of Thompson, died Monday, June 23 at Vibra Hospital, Leicester, MA after a period of declining health. His wife of 42 years, Violet M. (Torres) Jezerski, died in 1997.
He leaves 2 brothers, Stanley Jezierski and his wife Theresa of North Grosvenordale and Tony Jezerski and his wife Marilyn of Webster, MA; 3 sisters, Sophie Stolarczyk and Stella Mroczek, both of Webster, and Helen Jerominek of Sherborn, MA; nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Alexander, Edward and Frank Jezerski and by 2 sisters, Wanda Bonczek and Esther Rulli.
He was born and raised in North Grosvenordale at the family farm, a son of Stanley and Catherine (Szulewski) Jezerski. He lived in Virginia for most of his life before returning here in 2007. He graduated from Putnam Trade School in 1951.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Jezerski was an electrician and then supervisor of the Norfolk, VA School System for many years, retiring in 1997.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 1, at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Old Worcester Road, Webster. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will perform the military honors. There are no calling hours. Donations in his name may be made to Community Fire Company, PO Box 874, N. Grosvenordale, CT 06255-0874. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St.,Webster.
