After the war, he left the service and moved to Massachusetts, graduating from Brown University, then Harvard Business School with an MBA. Recalled to active duty during the Korean Conflict, he moved his family to Niagara Falls, NY, where he was Executive Officer of a P-47 Squadron, then transferred to Dayton, Ohio to work in procurement for the Air Force, eventually retiring from the USAF Reserve as a Lt. A patient, gentleman with a ready smile and the ability to put people at ease, he was an engaging conversationalist with a good sense of humor and was knowledgeable about a wide range of topics. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, skiing, sailing, and tailgating at college football games. In his later years, after a morning walk with friends, he would read the morning paper and work the cross word puzzle.
