Marguerite V. (Savasta) Butler, 58, of Worcester died Tuesday, May 6th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. She leaves a son, Anthony F. Butler of Worcester; Angelic Butler of Spencer and Alissa Butler of Webster; three brothers, Francis J. Savasta, Jr of Charlton, Thomas R. Savasta of Paxton and John A. Savasta of Worcester; two sisters, Frances M. Lynch of Westport and Ann Marie Savasta of Grafton; four grandchildren, Peter, Xavier, Isaiah and Oscar and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Jason Butler and a daughter, Gracey Ortiz.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Francis J. and Alice V. (O’Connell) Savasta. Marguerite had a fascination for birds and enjoyed flowers and gardening. Ms. Butler was an artist who had a passion for crafts and painting. She was a free-spirited woman who enjoyed baking and reading. Marguerite volunteered at St. Mary Health Care Center.
A graveside service will be held of Friday, May 9th in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street with a service at 1:00 PM. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
