Obituary

Retired US Air Force Major Milton J. “Milt” Walsh died Easter Sunday at Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, MA.

Milt was born in Brockton, MA, grew up and was educated in Randolph and East Bridgewater, MA. He was a resident of Salem for the past 32 years.

Milt retired from the United Sates Air Force, receiving the rank of Major. He also taught Air Force Junior ROTC at the North Quincy, MA High School for 16 years. He was a member of the DAV, the AMVETS, and the American Legion all of Salem, NH. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Salem, NH, and the 4th degree assembly. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, vegetable gardening, collecting coins and baseball cards, and has an extensive collection of sea shells. Most of all Milt loved all his “Girls”.

Milt was predeceased by his sister Barbara Spencer.

He is survived by his beloved wife Donna (Brida) Walsh of Salem

4 Daughters: Deborah and her husband Drake Uhlinger of Eagle River, AK
Margaret and her husband David Francoeur of Berlin, NH
Cynthia and her husband Robert Haidaichuk of Salem, NH
Shannon and her husband Richard MacLatchy of Merrimack, NH

Siblings: Harold Walsh of Middleboro, MA, Jack Walsh of Raynham, MA, Jane Lovell of Bridgewater, MA, Sue Cote of Middleboro, MA, and Betty Leate of Middleboro, MA

14 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Apr. 26th at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.

Calling hours will be Friday, Apr. 25th from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Road, Salem, NH 03079 or to the Air Force Jr. ROTC Program at Salem High School, Geremonty Drive, Salem, NH 03079 .
