Jeanette O’Brien was born February 16, 1931 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Marceaux & Magdalena Bury. She died April 4, 2014 at the age of 83.

She was raised in Butte, Montana. She moved to Washington and married Thomas O’Brien on March 17, 1951. They purchased property and built a home in Whitstran.

She held various positions, over the years, at the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, Prosser Police Department and family owned business, T & T Electric in Hermiston, Oregon. Her love of life was in baking homemade pies for family and friends in the Prosser community and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Thomas M. O’Brien and his wife, Flo of Kennewick; daughter, Patty O’Brien of Selah; daughter Staci Kunz and her husband, Doug of Pendleton, Oregon; grandchildren, Zak O’Brien of Kennewick; Mickel and her husband, Alan den Hoed of Pasco; Nicole Gary Walker of Grandview; Jessica O’Brien of California; and Trevor and Keri Kunz of Pendleton; and great-grandchildren, Avery and Alivia den Hoed; Hailey and Braden Walker and Justin and Elizabeth Shroka. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas T. O’Brien; and granddaughter. Melissa Shroka.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Prosser Funeral Home. Concluding services and burial will follow in the Prosser Cemetery. You may sign the online guest book and leave a message of condolence for the family at www.prosserfuneralhome.com
