John Eugene Pruett, age 57, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born August 17, 1958 in Oxford, MS to the late Winfred and Edna Irene Woods Pruett. Since 1998, John resided at North MS Regional Center in Oxford, MS where he enjoyed eating at Wendy’s, watching movies and Wheel of Fortune, bowling, playing card games, spending time with family and friends and working at the Regional Center breaking down boxes. John was a member of O’tuckolofa Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation on Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Larry Wills officiating. Burial will be in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Yalobusha County, MS. John is survived by four sisters, Margie Calvi (Frank) of Horn Lake, MS, Melanie Pruett of Abbeville, MS, Patricia Wilson (James) of Banner, MS and Mary Frances Russell (Glenn) of Water Valley, MS; his extended family at North MS Regional Center in Oxford, MS; his nieces and nephews, Angie and Bobbie Huckabee, Linda and Jimmy Russell, Jamie and Robbie Wilson and Benny Neal, Jr. | ||||
