LoPriore, Emilio, Of Medford, December 16, 2013. Born and raised in Mirabella, Italy, he was the devoted son of the late Enrichetta (DiPietro) & Giovanni LoPriore. Emilio at a young age of 24 first moved to Zurich Switzerland. In 1967 he made his lifelong home in Medford MA and was married to his Beloved wife Lina LoPriore in 1970. He worked as foreign auto mechanic for Cambridge Imported Cars for many years and retired to his true passion of playing with real estate and investing in Wall Street. He was also an active member of the Appian Club of Stoneham, where he spent many hours playing a friendly game of cards. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand with family and friends.
At play he enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his wife Lina and friends. Along with many different activities his favorite hobby was making wine and being able to share it with all of his friends and family at his kitchen table on any occasion. He also cherished his time with his loving grandchildren, Dante, Damian, Ella and Vincent.
Emilio was the Beloved husband of Lina (Martiniello) LoPriore. Devoted father of Enrica LoPriore, John LoPriore and his wife Marylu all of Stoneham, Laura Piro and her husband Vince of Medford. Loving Nonno of Dante, Damian, Ella and Vincent. Brother of Delia Moscaritolo and Angiolina DiSisto both of Medford, Allesandra Ciampi of Italy, Giuseppe LoPriore of Venezuela, Anna D'Ambrosio of Argentina, and the late Assunta Rossetti, Antonietta DiSisto, Raffaele LoPriore and Gerrardo LoPriore. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday, December 20th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Emilio’s name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
