Memorial Services for Mr. Ellison L. Murphy age 78 will be Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at his residence 1020 N. Mattie Ave., Sycamore, Ga. Mr. Murphy died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Murphy was born in Cordele, Ga. the son of the late Lewis S. and Daisey Guy Murphy and was retired from Holley Steel Co. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Tammy Dillard and a grandson Norman Sellars.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Thompson Murphy, Sycamore, GA and his sons Eugene (Beverly) Murphy, Rebecca, GA Jimmy (Hope) Miller, Valdosta, GA and Ricky Murphy, Baxley, GA and his brother Lewis Murphy, Sycamore, GA and his grandchildren Steven (Brandi) Sellars, Sycamore, GA Chris and Timmy Miller, Valdosta, GA and Michelle Murphy and Shawn Harrell of Rebecca, GA and his great-grandchildren Kelsy Denham, Sycamore, GA and numerous others.
