TAUNTON – Albert B. Perry, a lifelong resident of Taunton, died peaceful at his home, surrounded by his family on Oct. 26, 2013.
He was the son of the late Manuel B. and Sadie (Braga) Perry.
He was educated in Taunton schools and later served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Employed as a correction officer for the Commonwealth of MA for many years, Al retired in 1992.
He was a member of the Portuguese American Civic Club and the Polish American Civic Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl I. Perry of Barrington, RI, daughter of Vivian (Bousquet) Perry; his sister, Irene B. Reed of Hudson, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Laura B. Montecalvo.
His funeral will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, Oct. 31st at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 30th from 5 to 8 p.m.
