Worcester - Ann M. (Griffin) Rivelli, 70, of Worcester died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 23rd in her home.
Ann was married to James V. Rivelli “Jimmy Rivers” who died in 1991. She leaves behind her children; Michele Carpenter, and her husband Matthew, of Holden, Kathleen, and her husband Michael, of Worcester, Michael, and his wife Kim, Kim Rivelli, and her husband Mark Sarro, Mark Rivelli of Worcester, Kristin Young, and her husband Gary of Worcester, James V. Rivelli Jr., and his wife Sharon, of Leicester; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and close family friends, Margie and Doug Vallee of Leicester.
Mrs. Rivelli was born in Natick, MA on February 4, 1943 daughter of the late Daniel W. and Helen F. (McEvoy) Griffin and graduated from Natick High School in 1960.
Ann loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cheering on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events, decorating her home for all the holidays with Christmas being her favorite, shopping and casino trips, planning and organizing parties, and making party favors.
Mrs. Rivelli enjoyed many good times with her friends at the Eagles. She was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Framingham for 9 years and during that time she held 7 offices including President. Ann later joined the Worcester Eagles in 2004 and held 8 offices where she was currently serving as the Madam President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Worcester Aerie #4311.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 30th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in Saint Peter’s Church 931 Main Street. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are on Tuesday, October 29th from 4 to 8 PM in the funeral home with a ritual performed by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles at 7PM.
