Pamela Klimenok Parsons

NORTHAMPTON - Pamela Klimenok Parsons, 62, of the Florence section of Northampton was Called Safely Home on Sunday, October 13, 2013. She passed into Eternal Life from her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family who were her devoted caregivers. She was born in Springfield, Vermont on March 29, 1951, a beloved daughter of the late John and Valentina (Skalaba) Klimenok. She was raised in Springfield, Vermont, graduated from Springfield High School and then furthered her education and graduated from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont where she received a Bachelor's of Arts Degree. She lived in Springfield, Vermont for many years before moving to the Florence section of Northampton in 1977. While living in Vermont, Pam received the title of Vermont State Junior Miss in 1969. She was a well known agent for over 30 years in the Northampton area for Tupperware and Jafra Cosmetics. Pam enjoyed being a homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. Active in her community, she was a Certified Master Gardner for over 15 years. Pam was an active communicant of Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Springfield where she served her parish as a Reader and Choir Director. She leaves her beloved husband and soul mate, Michael R. Parsons. They were married on August 25, 1973 at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Springfield, Vermont and were blessed with over 40 years of happiness together. She also leaves her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Melissa P. Coady and her husband, Daniel, of Easthampton; her cherished grandchildren whom she adored, Lewin and Meredith Coady; and her loving brother and sister, John Klimenok of Plainfield, VT; and Janet Klimenok of Springfield, VT. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, October 18, 2013 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Liturgy at 10 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 118 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104. Her burial will be held on Saturday morning, October 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery, 269 River Street, Springfield, Vermont 05156. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to either Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, PO Box 2843, Springfield, MA 01101-2843, or to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Cooley Dickinson, 168 Industrial Drive, Northampton, MA 01060.
