Mrs. Catherine H. (Haggerty) McFadyen, age 93, Of Wilmington, formerly of Boston, died unexpectedly, Wednesday morning June 5th at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. Born in Boston, Catherine was the devoted daughter of the late Charlotte (Hansen) Haggerty & James Haggerty.

A resident of Wilmington since 1970, Catherine was raised in the Roslindale section of Boston. She was a homemaker who was dedicated to her loving family and often baby sat for her great grandchildren. She was an avid Red Sox fan who went on a few "road trips" to see them play. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting, and gave out afghan blankets to her family and friends.
She made the occasional trip to Foxwoods Casino, and enjoyed travelling to visit her brothers and sister.

Catherine was the beloved wife of the late James McFadyen. Devoted mother of Catherine M. McFadyen of Medford, Christine Gould and her husband Alan of Andover and the late James McFadyen and his wife Irene McFadyen of Tewksbury. Godmother of Charlotte Hayden of NJ. Loving grandmother of Valerie, Melissa, Jocelyn, James, Susan and Joseph. Also survived by 12 loving great grandchildren. Sister of the late William, Charles, John, Joseph, & James Haggerty and Pearl Ruggles. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Friday, June 7th at 11 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 12 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
