Hopkinton, MA – Rachel M. (Cayer) Berube, 86, of Hopkinton and formerly of Lawrence, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Raymond Berube.
Rachel, daughter of the late Philibert and Yvonne (Houde) Cayer, was born in Lawrence on April 28, 1927. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods.
Rachel will be deeply missed by her daughter, Debbie Sager and her husband, Tom of Hopkinton; six grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Keegan of Methuen; two brothers, Jean-Paul Cayer of Ipswich, MA and Donald Cayer of Groveland, MA; and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by two sons, Joseph and Normand Berube; a sister, Doris Bedard, and two brothers, Henry and Richard Cayer.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Rachel’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the KENNETH H. POLLARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Saturday from 10-10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen on Saturday at 11 AM. Cemetery services will be private.
