JOHN R. LONGO, 91, passed away April 4, 2013. He was a retired insurance agent and owner of Pleasure Ridge Park Insurance Agency, a Mason, and an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. John was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Longo; his daughter, Jackie Longo Coulter; and his siblings, Gene, Mary, Julie and Loretta. Survivors include his beloved wife of 30 years, Sherry (Hicks) Longo; children, Sandra “Sandy” Pierce (Bill), Sharon Hollinden (Jim), Rhonda Ward (Robert) and Donnie Huffman; grandchildren, Ralph Steven Coulter (Cyndie), Brandon Bell, Leah Ayers (Bobby), Amanda Fields (Chris), Ashley Riley (Andrew), Brian Cook (Vicki), Denise Jerome (Robbie), Debbie Maynard (Steve), Cindy Cook, Jennifer Leon (Jon), David Hollinden (Laurel), and Susanne Carlsen (Ed); great grandchildren, Abbie and Donovan Coulter, Alexis Bell, Karli and Jacob Fields, Carson Riley, Jacqueline Lauren Jerome (Dan), Kalye and Dani Jerome, Zachary and Brianna Cook, Timberly Kerby (Josh), Jordan and Emily Maynard, and Jaxson Ayers; great great grandchildren Benson and Ely Brown; sister-in-law Beverly Longo; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. on Monday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
