Robert G. Cole, Sr., 72 Dateline: South Attleboro, MA Robert G. Cole, Sr., age 72, of South Attleboro, formerly of Rehoboth, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Margaret J. (Gray) Cole to whom he wed for over 53 years. Born in Attleboro, MA on May 13, 1940, he was a loving son of the late Lawrence, Sr. and Eva (Messier) Cole. Bob grew up and was educated in Rehoboth. He had made his home in South Attleboro for the past 10 years and was a former longtime resident of Rehoboth. Prior to retiring, Mr. Cole had been employed for over 15 years at ATCO Plastics in Plainville. He had previously worked for many years at the Regional Construction Co. in Seekonk. Bob’s first priority in life was his adoring family. He also enjoyed fishing, antique cars and his daily trips, along with his wife Peggy, to Dunkin Donuts and trying their luck with scratch tickets. Bob will always be remembered for his exceptional cooking skills and will be sadly missed by all who loved him. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children; Robert G. Cole, Jr. and his wife Diana of Mansfield, James E. Cole and his wife of Florida, Daniel J. Cole and his wife Diane of Attleboro and David S. Cole and his wife Michelle of New Hampshire. He was the dear brother of Bernadette Presley of Rhode Island, Madeline Issler of South Attleboro, Teresa LaFraze of Seekonk and the late Lawrence, Jr., Edward, Alfred and Roy Cole, and Veronica Murray. He is also survived by his cherished 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend memorial visiting hours to be held on Saturday, February 2nd from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at the Mansfield Lodge of Elks, 140 North Main St. Mansfield. In lieu of flowers, Bob’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
