Ashley Ronald Mathis, age 32, of Ideal, GA passed away suddenly on Sunday morning, November 4, 2012 at the Flint River Hospital in Montezuma, GA.
Visitation and will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 6 – 8 PM at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma. At other times, the family may be contacted at Bedford and Kimberly Masters residence, 101 Gordan Street, Ideal, GA 31041.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Stillwater Chapel, 3550 Highway 240 West, Ideal, GA 31041. Reverends Roy and Jennie Peterson will officiate the service. As per his request, cremation will follow the service.
Ashley was born on November 14, 1979 in Tifton, GA to Ronald and Mary Bills Mathis, who still survives. He was a Supervisor at Tyson Foods in Oglethorpe, GA and a member of Stillwater Chapel. In his spare time he loved to hunt and go fishing.
Survivors include his loving wife, Brittany Masters Mathis of Ideal, GA; his two loving daughters, Madison and McKenzie Mathis of Ideal, GA, his parents, Ronald and Mary Bills Mathis of Fitzgerald, GA; two sisters, Kim Mathis of Fitzgerald, GA, Teresa Kersey and her husband Leigh of Henderson, GA; one brother, Ron Mathis of Fitzgerald, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bedford and Kimberly Masters of Ideal, GA; sister-in-law, Brandy Masters of Ideal, GA; five nieces, Haileigh Kersey, Hannah Mathis, Sierra Gibson, Ezra Smith and Hailey Masters; four nephews, Marcus Rinehart, Mathew Rinehart, Trey Kersey and Skylar Gibson. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the family, for his two daughters. An account will be setup at the families bank. Friends may contact the family or the funeral home for more information.
