Mary S. (Sullivan) Doyle, 96, a resident of Lawrence, died on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Center in Lawrence.
She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on April 25, 1916 to Mortimer and Mary (Crowley) Sullivan. Mrs. Doyle was educated in Lawrence Schools. She worked for Raytheon for twenty three years until her retirement. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Monica Church in Methuen. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, play bingo, loved to dine out, and attend Theater in Boston. Her favorite saint was St. Jude and she donated to charites in his name. She was also a big fan of the Boston area sports especially the Boston Celtics.
She was the wife of the late: Augustine C. Doyle and leaves her children: Joseph C. Doyle and his wife Mary Ann of Windham, NH, Bernard R. Doyle and his wife Leslie of Haverhill, and Kathleen M. Baglieri and her husband Michael of Methuen, MA. Grandchildren: Kevin Doyle and his wife Denise of Salem, NH, Kelly Doyle of Newburyport, Rory Doyle of Haverhill, Michael Baglieri Jr. and his partner Desiree of Lawrence, Brenda Baglieri of Methuen, Charlie Baglieri of Billerica, as well as several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Gus Sullivan, Jack Haynes and her sister Helen Guertin.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 11:00AM in St. Monica Church in Methuen. A burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence.
