Obituary

John M. DeGeorge of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Hunt Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Danvers. He was 78 years of age.

John was born in Everett, the son of the late Vincent DeGeorge and Fannie (Marciante) DeGeorge. John was a loving and caring son, brother, companion, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.

John was a dedicated Nuclear Engineer for Stone & Webster for many years. He was very active in Stoneham Town Politics. He could be seen at many Town Meetings.

John was the longtime companion of Catherine “Kay” Barabino. He was the dear brother of Vincent DeGeorge and his wife Sarah “Sally” of Malden, Frank DeGeorge and his wife Dianna of Stoneham and the late Louis DeGeorge and his wife Carmela of Ipswich. John was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating John’s Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday from 3-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
