Obituary

Mary P. (Melo) DeLucia 99, of Franklin died peacefully September 13. She was the wife of the late Frank D. DeLucia, who died in 1986.
Born in Worcester, May 20, 1913, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Saster) Melo, Mrs. DeLucia had lived in Franklin for most of her life.
Mrs. DeLucia had worked in the Franklin Public Schools for many years before retiring.
Mary loved to cook, garden, and being a homemaker. She took pride in all that she did.
She was the devoted mother of Ralph DeLucia of Franklin and Frances Currul and her husband Peter of Milford.
She is also survived by her siblings Catherine Gianetti of Franklin and Peter Melo of Franklin.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Melo, Samuel Melo, John Melo, Frank Melo, Nicholas Melo and Rose Baldasarri.
She was the cherished grandmother of 8, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday September 18 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Tri-Valley Inc. 10 Mill Street Dudley, MA 01571.
She will be greatly missed.
