Obituary

John T. “Jack” Sweeney, 81, of Worcester has gone to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 25th. He leaves his wife of 46 years, Priscilla A. “Pam” (Kelly) Sweeney; a son, Brian Sweeney of Webster; three daughters, Christine C. Gooley and her husband Glenn of Brattleboro, VT, Kelly J. Sweeney of Worcester, and Katherine M. Glatzhofer and her husband Brad of Gainesville, GA; three grandchildren, Calvin, Elliot, and Westerly Gooley of Brattleboro,VT; and his four-legged buddy, Louie. He was predeceased by a son, John Sweeney, and an infant daughter, Ann Marie Sweeney.

He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of John and Katherine (McPhail) Sweeney and lived here for many years. Jack served in the British Army Air National Guard. After coming to the United States in 1957, he served in the Air National Guard and the Civil Air Patrol. He owned and operated City Electric Company in Worcester for 35 years. Jack was a pilot for more than 25 years and earned his commercial pilot license. He had owned and operated Trinity Aviation and was a private investigator for Hale Investigations. He was a member of the Liberty Church in Shrewsbury.

Calling hours are from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 29th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery will be private.
