WORCESTER – Ms. Margaret “ Peggy” Deeb, 97, of Worcester and Shrewsbury passed away Thursday, August 16th at the Shrewsbury Nursing Home.

Peggy was born October 2, 1914 in Worcester, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Elias and Martha (Esper) Deeb.

She was predeceased by her brother, Najar Deeb, and two sisters, Helen Gebran and Eva Kalil.

A lifelong resident, Peggy was a graduate of Commerce High, Class of 1934.

Peggy was a very affectionate and conscientious person and had a great love for her family and friends. She could always be seen exercising by vigorously walking in the vicinity of Grafton Hill. Peg also had a great love of music and in her earlier years was an outstanding violinist. She worked for Filene’s childrens shoe department as she loved seeing and fitting shoes for little children.

Peggy was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church of Worcester

Pegs relatives and friends would like to thank the entire staff at the Shrewsbury Commons, the Shrewsbury Nursing Home and the Hospice program for their compassion and care.

A graveside service was held on Friday August 17th at St. Johns Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, www.faziofuneralhome.
