Lucy (Amaral) Estey, of Plymouth, died on August 5th at Tufts Medical Center in Boston at the age of 88. Daughter of the late Manual and Elvira (DeSilva) Amaral, she was a lifelong resident of Plymouth and a graduate of Plymouth High School. She was employed at the A.R. Ellis Curtain Factory for over 30 years and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She leaves a son Paul Estey and his wife Sun of Portsmouth, NH; Debbie Estey, wife of the late Don Estey, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also leaves her brother John Amaral of Plymouth and many nieces and nephews. Mother of the late Don Estey and sister of the late Arthur, James, Albert and Manual Amaral and Enis Blackwell. She leaves a number of wonderful and dear friends at Plymouth Crossings where she resided for 6 years. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth on Wednesday, August 8th from 4 to 6 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 9th at St. Mary’s Church at 10 AM followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Charity of one’s choice.
