Sophia A. Moujabber, 76, of New Bedford died March 22, 2012 at Royal of Fairhaven.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucinda (Coury) Moujabber.
Miss Moujabber was born in Ehmege, Lebanon, and had lived in New Bedford since 1967.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church. She was a devout Maronite Catholic, a tireless volunteer for her Church and numerous charities, advocating for and helping the needy throughout her life.
Miss Moujabber was formerly employed as a cutter at Cape Cod Sportswear for 13 years.
Survivors include 2 nephews, Charbel Saad and his wife Siham, and Joseph Moujabber and his wife Rita, both of Ehmege, Lebanon; and 2 cousins, Rafic Khalil of Portsmouth, NH, and Wafic Khalil of Pasadena, CA.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Monday, March 26th at 9 AM. Divine Liturgy at 10 AM in Our Lady of Purgatory Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday, March 25th from 3-6 PM.
