Raigh A. Paradis, 71, of Derry, NH, died Tuesday March 6, 2012 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. He was born in Derry on July 22, 1940, a son of the late Francis and Arlamae (Taylor) Paradis, and was a lifelong resident. Raigh had been employed as a firefighter for the Derry Fire Dept. He enjoyed auto racing, and was involved with Hudson Speedway and Star Speedway helping to line up the races.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna R. Lato and her husband Samuel of Derry, and Cheryl A. Paradis of Manchester, NH and her fiance Michael Iannuzzi; one son, Alan R. Paradis of Derry; five grandchildren; five siblings, Carl Paradis, Glenn Paradis, Robert Paradis, Steven Paradis, and Ellen Hamilton; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean A. (Kisielewski) Paradis in 2003, and his brother Lee Paradis.
Calling hours were held on Monday, March 12th from 4 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service followed at 7:00pm in the funeral home. Following cremation, he will be buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry in the Spring.
