GOYETTE, Barbara M. DeFelice - Life long resident of Dedham, died January 27, 2012 at age 89. Born in Dedham, MA on August 10, 1922 beloved wife of 68 years to Edward O. Goyette Jr. Dedicated mother of Russell of Franklin, Kenny of Newport, R.I., Paul and his wife Maureen of Thornton, CO, Mary Mahoney and her husband Edward Mahoney, Geno and his wife Karen all of Dedham. Son in law of Thomas Dooling, and his wife the late Barbara Goyette Dooling of Melrose. Dear sisters and brother of Kitty Pusateri of Dedham, Eugene DeFelice and his wife Connie of Martha's Vineyard, Betty Podolski of Peachtree City, Ga. Devoted daughter of the late Dominic and Susan DeFelice. Also cherished sister of the late Frank, Joe, Ted, and Eddie DeFelice, Margo Merchant, Ann Towns, and Gini Hogan. Doting grandmother of 14 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Barbara was an active mom and employee at the former Washington Gardens and Kings Court Restaurants. She was dedicated to her family and charities. Barbara was a life long parishioner of St Mary's Church. A member of Our Lady's Sodality, St. Mary's Parish. A Blue Bird Leader, who along with her group sent many letters of hope to the Vietnam service men. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Jacob Jones VFW Post 2017, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Barbara was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. Barbara's home always had an open door, and as she would say “I can always make room for one more.” Barbara also loved to play cards, her favorite game being Hearts. Barbara was a kind hearted loving person, who truly cared for every one she knew and met.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. DEDHAM, Wednesday, February 1 at 8:00 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Dedham at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Tuesday, January 31 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers donations maybe sent to Vista Care, 2 Willow St. Suite 102, Southborough, MA 01745.
