Obituary

Marilyn J. (Rush) Calapai, age 66, of Brockton, died January 26, 2012 at Good Samaritan Medical Center following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife for 39 years of Frank J. Calapai. Born and raised in Dorchester, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Marion (King) Rush. She had been a resident of Brockton for the past 55 years and was a graduate of Brockton High School.
Marilyn was an avid NASCAR racing fan, enjoyed football and crocheting, but most of all she enjoyed time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son Joseph Calapai and his wife Joy of Brockton and three grandchildren, Mitchell, Samantha and Christina Calapai. She was the sister of Lawrence Rush and his wife Mary of Florida and Pat Consolo and his wife Dianne of Brockton; sister in law of Joanna MacKinnon and her husband Gus of Braintree and Steve Calapai and his wife Jean of Milford; and aunt of Alana and Maria Calapai of Milford, David MacKinnon and his wife Annie of New Hampshire, Tim Rush and his wife Mindy of Texas, Stephanie Weast and her husband Cameron of Kansas, Peter Colleran and his wife Julie of Florida and Melissa Babey and her husband Matt of Brockton.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday 2-6pm. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Monday at 10am for a graveside service in Melrose Cemetery at 11am.
