Mrs. Lucia Pasquale, age 91 of Medford, formerly of Boston’s North End, died Tuesday in the Dyouville Senior Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Giovanni Alessandro Pasquale. Mrs. Pasquale was born in Italy, daughter of the late Sabatino and Antonia (Sandonato) Spadorcia. She was raised in Italy and came to the United States as a young woman, settling in Boston’s North End. She and her husband later moved to Medford where she spent more than 45 years. She was known as a wonderful cook and also enjoyed working in her garden. In earlier years she was an active member of St. Joseph’s parish in Medford and a daily communicant.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Kormanos and her husband George of Nashua, NH, Jessie Reinold and her husband James of Tewksbury. Beloved Grandmother of Anya Killion, Alexander Kormanos, James and Kristina Reinold. Great Grandmother of Douglas Killion. Sister of Assunta Sandonato, Vincenza DeCresentis of Italy and the late Salvatore and Cesare Spadorcia, Anna Forcucci and Domenica Zaccardelli. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford on Tuesday at 9:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street Medford at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 6-8 pm.
Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Those who prefer may make contributions in Lucia’s name to the Dyouville Senior Care Alzheimers'Patient Activities Fund, 981 Varnum Avenue, Lowell MA. 01854.
