Bernice C. Procter, 68, of Derry, NH, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, in the Aurora Senior Living of Derry following a lengthy illness. She was born on August 26, 1943 in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late Albert and Evelyn (Miller) Schmitz. She was a resident of Derry for the past 11 years, formerly living in Boston, MA. Bernice loved arts and crafts, clowns, dancing and was a huge Elvis fan. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she enjoyed spending it with her family. She will be loved and missed by all.
She is survived by her soulmate and partner of 26 years, Joseph Travers of Derry, five daughters, Pamela Connolly and her husband Frank of Quincy, MA, Linda Silva and her husband Steve of Pembroke, MA, Debra Rodriguez of Derry, NH, Dana McGlone of Weymouth, MA, Laura Guinto and her husband Joseph of Quincy, MA, one son, Derrick Procter of Quincy, MA, 19 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, eight brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There are no services being held in New Hampshire. Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, South Boston, MA Following services, Bernice will be brought to a place loved to spend time, Castle Island.
