Ann Keleher MacCrellish, 84, of Wellesley MA died peacefully, Monday, November 7, 2011. One day short of her 85th birthday. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Dennis F. and Agnes (McDonough) Mahony. Prior to moving to Wellesley, she lived in Newton with her late husband Thomas M. Keleher for nearly 50 years.
Ann is survived by her husband William MacCrellish. She was the devoted mother of four children, from her 46 years of marriage to Thomas M. Keleher who died in 1996. Merritt Tredennick and her husband Beach of Acton; Thomas M. Keleher, Jr. and his wife Mary of Kennebunkport, ME; Judith Keleher of Wellesley; and Gerald Keleher of Seattle, WA. In addition to her children, she leaves three wonderful grandchildren; Jeb Tredennick of Los Angeles, CA; Hilary Tredennick of Acton; and Satsi Schimelpfenig of Boston.
Ann was a vibrant, vivacious woman. She had many life long friends with whom she keep in close contact. Including friends from her childhood and her summers spent at Drakes Island, Maine.
Tennis and gardening were her passions. She was an avid tennis player always ready for a match on a daily basis. She enjoyed playing at her clubs; Wellesley County Club, Longwood Cricket Club. The River Club in Kennebunkport, Maine and The Windsor Club. She gained great comfort from the garden she made at her Wellesley home and her membership in the Wellesley Garden Club.
She was deeply religious and devoted to her faith. She was an active member of both St. Paul Parish and prior to that St. Phillip Neri of Waban.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St.(Rt.16) WELLESLEY, Saturday, November 12th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Wellesley, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday, November 11th from 4-8 PM. Interment Newton Cemetery. Her family would like to thank the staff of The Falls, Harbor Program, for their loving support and care.
