Mary S. “Susie” (Helger) Miranda, 57, of Fall River passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehab after a period of declining health.
Born in Fall River, she was daughter of the late Norman J. and Irene E. (Kitchen) Helger. Susie will best be remembered for her kind smile and for her years of dedication to the family business, Helger’s Produce. As a talented artist, Susie was a creative force behind many of the shop’s holiday displays and arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter: Jodi Helger of Fall River and her fiancé John Cordeiro; a brother: Norman J. Helger, Jr. and his wife Mary Ellen of Portsmouth, RI; a sister: Kathleen Helger of Tiverton; long-time companion: Michael Ekard of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Michael D. Helger, Sr.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Potter Funeral Home at 6:00 P.M.
Visitation will be from 3 – 6 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
