Mr. James A. DePaolo, age 80, of Pembroke Pines, FL formerly of Wakefield passed away suddenly, October 20th following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Farinello) DePaolo. Born in Everett, MA he was the son of the late Vincent and Louise (DePrizio) DiPaolo

James worked for many years as a land developer most recently in Canada. He loved working and interacting with people. In his leisure time he was a veracious reader. He would read anything he could get his hands on. He also enjoyed traveling throughout his life and was an avid sports fan always keeping up to date on Boston's major sporting teams.

In addition to his beloved wife, Mary Ann, He is survived by his children, Birget Tarr of Cape Neddick, ME, James DePaolo and Karen Czarnota both of North Reading. Stepdaughters, Deborah Lindenmuth and Shannon Richards both of CA. He was the loving grandfather of John and William Tarr, Jamie, Michael and Jennifer DePaolo, Lauren and David Czarnota, Emmett Richards, Connor, Mahlon and Sammy Lindenmuth and great grandson, Connor Tarr. He is also survived by his sisters, Christine DePaolo of Malden and Diane Massion of Chelmsford.

A funeral mass will be celebrated, Thursday, October 27th, at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
