In Taunton of Raynham, September 22, 2011 Joanne Grabarz, age 66 passed away in Morton Hospital following a lengthy illness while surrounded by her family. Joanne leaves her husband Richard Grabarz of Raynham. She is survived by her mother Alberta (Vandorne) Nevitt and her late father Walter Nevitt. Joanne was born in Taunton and has lived all her life in Raynham. She attended Raynham schools and a graduate of the former Bishop Cassidy High School in Taunton. Joanne enjoyed dining out, gardening and cherished the time with her children and grandchildren. She worked at the former Chalet Cinema in Raynham and the Raynham-Taunton Greyhound Park. Besides her husband Richard, Joanne leaves her children; Timothy Grabarz of Raynham and Laurie Koss & her husband Stanley of Taunton. Her twin grandsons Nicholas and Thomas Koss. Her niece Stacey Cote of Taunton who she loved like a daughter and her nephew Daniel Hout of Bridgewater. Her two sisters Mary Ann Huot of Taunton and Suzanne Chadwick of Raynham and her late brother James Nevitt. She also is survived by her mother-in-law Evelyn Grabarz of Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Weds. from 5-7pm. at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, Ma. 02780. Funeral services are private at the request of the family. Burial will be in the family lot in Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham.
